Advice from William Eggleston

In the film William Eggleston in the Real World, William Eggleston is asked to discuss his process and why he usually only takes one frame of something and then moves on. His reply, compendious and comical through his intonations, follows.

“I just believe in taking one picture of one picture. I don’t think it helps to take more than one. It’s very confusing later if you have a strip of six to choose one. It’s stupid(?) to have five extras.”

I think most photographers have problems with editing their work. Problem now solved.
